What are Predikaats?

STER - Awarded to 3 year old with high upper beam score on acceptance into the studbook based on conformation with free movement, free jumping, breeding direction i.e. dressage/jumping, a better ster mare may be awarded a provisional keur award as well.

KEUR - Awarded after under saddle performance determined by minimum competitive achievement i.e. med level dressage/grade B jumping.

SPORT - Awarded through competition record i.e. med level dressage/grade B jumping under rules, these mares are awarded on achievement and will not necessarily have ster or keur predikaat.

PREFERENT - Awarded to mares with three offspring with a ster predikaat or more.

PRESTATIE - Awarded to mares with three offspring or more with above average under saddle performance records.

PROK & ELITE – for mares that have passed extensive x-ray examinations created to emphasize the importance of soundness.

IBOP - Horses are tested for potential, IBOP one day performance test are available for UK mares. Mares are tested in a two week or five week exstensive performance test in the Netherlands.
