Hi Sheri,
Just reading through the letter re zubin. I am not a breeder but have a young colt which I have bred for myself. He is by Millenium and out of my PB new forest. This year we have won at the local shows, we then went on to the shbgb in the north west to show him as a yearling where he took 1st, champion and then reserve supreme (he was tired by then and looked a little flat). He gained a higher 1st premium at southview (even though they thought he was a 3 year old when he is a yearling)We then went to another local show where the judge pulled him in 3rd next to what I can only call cart horses. We then travelled from North Wales to Addington to compete in the sports horse yearling class to find the same judge that pulled him in third at the local show. He did rear and escape from me and i understand the class should take overall manners into account. Out of 6 we came 6th. I am not as experienced as yourself and just wanted a little guidance as whether or not to keep him entire at the moment as his pasport is with shbgb. But i have already lost faith in there assessment. On a better note we are qualified to go to osberton to the Lycetts young event horse champs! We shall see how we do. Thanks just want some honest advise.
